Physics also feel so much better than the last game, braking distances and grip levels feel much more realistic, and the bike reaction feels more skill based now. A very nice touch that adds so much to the immersion. There was another surprise waiting for me there, past a certain point, you can feel the front tire chatter under heavy braking in a straight line.

With gradual input, I can apply full braking power without pulling a stoppie. I have figured out that to prevent stoppies, I have to be more gradual with the brakes. Then when you apply too much brake, snap, the trigger resistance is gone and you know you f***** up. Triggers are extra hard when you try to apply brakes at lean angle, because you are already using so much front grip.

Trigger goes light when you are stoppie-ing, or the trigger resistance just drops when you trail brake a little too much and lose the front. The brakes work just like the accelerator, trigger resistance is proportional to the amount of front grip you are using. Tire management is going to be so easy in this game. The haptic feedback is nice too when the tire is sliding, it really lets you know when you are running out of grip. Much easier to be consistent than having to look to see if the bike is sliding. This makes is so easy to catch a wheelie or a slide and improves the communication with the bike so much. The trigger resistance drops slightly if you begin to wheelie and drops abruptly if you are taking a corner and run out of grip. The trigger resistance is proportional to the amount of rear grip you are using and the acceleration of the vehicle.

I like simulation aspect of the game and have been playing MotoGP games with pro physics and assists turned off.įirst off the R2/trigger under acceleration. My first racing game for the PS5 that uses adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, and I am blown away by how good it feels.
